We formed Utterworks after recognising the incredible advances in AI and Machine Learning over the last few years, specifically in the field of Natural Language. The trickle-down from computer vision with the use of deep learning, transformer-based neural networks, consumer cloud computing with GPU and now TPU performance, techniques like Transfer or Reinforcement Learning and Massive Foundation Models (LLMs) handling text, code, or images have meant that NLT is now capable of unprecidented levels of language understanding and novel content generation (and it’s constantly improving).

We’re focused on the ways in which this technology can be put to use solving problems in both a business and social context. We’re thinking of unstructured data as a whole new frontier for exploration, and our mission is to unlock its value.

We’re particularly interested in the potential of natural language technology in customer service to improve quality, reduce friction and cost, promote prompt issue resolution, amplify the voice of the customer and to generally simplify and smarten the experience.
